Shadow Puppets

Image
The past few weeks, we have been learning about light and shadows. We learned about different objects that are translucent, transparent and opaque and which objects create shadows. We are now incorporating literacy into science. Each group of students has planned out a play script for their shadow puppet play, they have written a rough copy and have included dialogue in their script. They then had to have a conference with the teacher to go over their scripts and any kinks or edits. Using what they have learned in Light and Shadows, they were then asked to figure out the best materials for making shadow puppets and how to create a shadow with their puppet. Watch this space to see the final product! Students creating the stage for our shadow puppet play
