Keeler's Fabulous Fours and Fives!

"We did science and we tried making lightbulbs light up" - Jayreme "For literacy, we finished our newspaper articles" - Omar "We learned about capacity and did some work about volume" - Mohammad "We learned about making a circuit" - Emmanuel "We played a game where we had to make verbs, nouns, and adjectives using a letter. It's called Speedy Parts of Speech" - Ifeoma and Liz Students had to problem solve as a group and figure out how to make a circuit that would turn on a lightbulb. Here's how it went:  

 "We got laptops and got into groups to research fossils that we found" - Vyvyan "We did math centres about capacity and volume" - Abbi "We did our newspaper article for our settlement" - Liz "We got into our book club" - Lexie and Bea Some of our math centres!

 "We learned about capacity" - Lencho "We completed another survey" - Tymon "We wrote our newspaper article about our settlements" - Karman "During capacity, we estimated how many grains of rice were in a container and then we measured the capacity of the container" - Miya Some pictures from last week... Measuring the volume and area of the school! Becoming palaeontologists and digging up fossils!

Looking for fossils and learning about how much perseverance it takes to be a palaeontologist and archeologist!  

 "We did a trivia for science and it about electricity" - Ifeoma and Emmanuel "In math, we measure the length and width of the school" - Mohammad and Miya "We planned our newspaper article using the inverted triangle" - O'Ryan and Tymon Learning about different sources of electricity :)

 "In social studies, we learned about dinosaurs and did questions about them" - Ifeoma "In math, we fixed our dream houses" - Claire "For literacy, we played a game making words" - Mohammad and Omar "We learned about artifacts and dinosaur fossils and bones" - O'Ryan "We started writing our newspaper articles introducing our settlements" - Karman

 "We learned about electricity and the different sources of electricity" - Sher and O'Ryan "We did literacy centres and we had two sentence starters to make a story" - Omar "In math, we practiced calculating volume with 3D shapes" - Mohammad and Abbi "We calculated length x width x height" - Ifeoma

 "We did math games and practiced area and perimeter" - Abbi "We learned that there are different types of fossils and that fossils are not just dinosaurs" - Liz "We learned that the best way to preserve a fossil is in ice" - Emmanuel "For literacy, we started writing our newspaper article" - Karman "It's week two of book club" - Jayreme

 "We practiced perimeter and area" - Abbi "We went outside and did a sit spot. We had questions about how to make the world a better place and we picked a spot to sit at and meditate and answer the questions" - Claire "We completed our book club jobs" - Ifeoma "We went to the library" - Karman "We watched the grade 1 assembly" - Jayreme

"We learned how to write a newspaper article" - Lexie "We learned about volume in math" - Omar "We completed a survey" - Tymon "We learned how how to draw faces in art" - Mohammad and Jenelson "I learned how to zentangle" - Miya "In literacy, we did an O.W.I" - Jayreme "We started writing our own newspaper article" - Ifeoma Organizing information into the inverted triangle for our newspaper article!
